Se o tambor tem uma cabe\u00e7a vibrante em frente \u00e0 cabe\u00e7a da massa, \u00e9 chamado de &#8220;cabe\u00e7a ressonante&#8221;. Nem todos os tambores t\u00eam cabe\u00e7as ressonantes, tambores de conga e tambores de bongo, por exemplo, n\u00e3o t\u00eam uma cabe\u00e7a ressonante. Alguns tambores, como tambores de baixo de banda marcial e bateria bata, t\u00eam duas cabe\u00e7as de massa, que tamb\u00e9m agem como cabe\u00e7as ressonantes. A cabe\u00e7a do batedor do cajon \u00e9 chamada de tapa. Algumas costas finas at\u00e9 parecem estar impregnadas com pl\u00e1stico ou ep\u00f3xi flex\u00edvel, simulando uma pele de tambor r\u00edgido. Alguns s\u00e3o anexados muito firmemente, quase como se a fabrica\u00e7\u00e3o encontrasse uma maneira de esticar a madeira atrav\u00e9s da parte de tr\u00e1s. Estes cajons t\u00eam mais resson\u00e2ncia do que cajons com costas grossas. A parte de tr\u00e1s d\u00e1 suporte aos lados, pelo menos press\u00f5es laterais. Um cajon com uma cabe\u00e7a de tambor membran\u00e2nva na parte de tr\u00e1s precisaria ter lados mais grossos com canto extremo se preparando para ser estruturalmente est\u00e1vel. Ou precisaria de algum tipo de refor\u00e7o ao redor da parte de tr\u00e1s. Considero que s\u00e3o cajons com cabe\u00e7as ressonantes, talvez as cabe\u00e7as mais ressonantes encontradas em qualquer cajon. O policarbonato \u00e9 muito forte, \u00e9 tipicamente encontrado nos escudos faciais dos capacetes de motocicleta. Tem excelente for\u00e7a lateral, mas quando len\u00e7\u00f3is planos s\u00e3o anexados ao longo das bordas, ele vibra prontamente no centro. Usado como parte de tr\u00e1s de um cajon, fornece suporte lateral significativo e resson\u00e2ncia significativa. Ao contr\u00e1rio de uma cabe\u00e7a membraniosa, o policarbonato n\u00e3o precisa ser esticado para produzir resson\u00e2ncia. Alguns dos meus cajons s\u00e3o feitos de madeira macia s\u00f3lida e encolheram ligeiramente ao longo do tempo. Acr\u00edlicos t\u00eam muito menos for\u00e7a e podem quebrar. Eu nunca usaria acr\u00edlico em um cajon de volta. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anexar policarbonato \u00e0s bordas de um cajon de madeira \u00e9 um problema, voc\u00ea n\u00e3o pode simplesmente colar. A maioria das colas n\u00e3o adere ao policarbonato. Tenho usado duas partes ep\u00f3xi e parafusos. Neste \u00faltimo ver\u00e3o eu tentei alguns outros m\u00e9todos na esperan\u00e7a de encontrar um m\u00e9todo mais simples. Tentei uma variedade de fitas duplas e parafusos.  Eu n\u00e3o gostava de nenhum deles. Mas isso \u00e9 tedioso, o policarbonato \u00e9 resistente e perfurar 32 buracos e contrapias \u00e9 demorado.
